You can remove the child from the playground, but it is not possible to remove the playground from the child. The theme of childhood is widely played out in contemporary art – both the artist and the viewer like to delve into this important and special stage of life.

The exhibition of the group of artists will explore the relationship between childhood adventure, games and their manifestations in art. The exhibition will feature works by: Līga Spunde, Laima Jurča, Kristaps Kolčs, Anna Afanasjeva, Ērika Caune, Dagne Ventiņa, Esse, Sigrija Mintika, Tribal Hotel, Svetlana Saveljeva, Maruta Konceviča, Baiba Zalcmane, Daniela Djubina, Šarlote Baškevica and Lūcija Ieva Agruma, including installations, sculptures, conceptual fashion, textiles, graphics and paintings.

The exhibition is open from January 17, 2022 to March 17, 2022 every day in the art gallery of the shopping center “Galerija Centrs” on the 3rd floor. The curators of the exhibition are the group of artists “Butterman” – Santa Matule, Ineta Urtāne, Simona Veilande and Renāte Vītola.
