From Galerija Centrs – to the stars: a space-themed amusement park opens in the shopping center
Kosmopark, an entertainment space for the entire family, has opened on the fourth floor of Galerija Centrs. This space-themed amusement park adds to the variety of entertainment options available in the Old Town-based shopping center.
Kosmopark consists of different zones, introducing visitors with the experience of exploring the open space through the sensations such as the scent of space or how their voice would sound in different planets. They will also be able to experience how it would feel to be an astronaut walking on different planets or even to encounter aliens.
“We know that Kosmopark became a hit in other countries it visited. Along with shopping, we strive to be a destination for unique experiences and this amusement park beautifully fulfills this concept, further expanding the scope of attractions that we are offering with educational experience for the entire family”, says Lāsma Vilande, manager of Galerija Centrs shopping center.
The 1,700 sq. meters entertainment space opens on the 4th floor of Galerija Centrs on 25th of September and will be available until February. It is the latest addition amidst the ongoing transformation of the shopping center, aimed at providing even more appealing contemporary experiences to the customers.
Already strong with the BURZMA taste and event space concept, offering a variety of selected unique tastes, Galerija Centrs will also present the latest concept MyFitness sports club by the end of the year. The H&M, currently undergoing a major renovation, is also set to reopen with the newest concept of the popular clothing store.
“We have been thoroughly working on transforming Galerija Centrs into an even more exciting space that meets the needs of the central area customer. Seeing the visitor traffic increase, we can see it working. For example, the Riga’s birthday celebration in August drew twice as many people this year compared to the previous one. With this latest addition, we expect the further increase of visitors“, – Mrs. Vilande says.
In the coming years, the development strategy for Galerija Centrs includes attracting new brands and making ambitious changes. Efforts are focused on winning back local customers by offering the best solutions and experiences for them and nearby office workers. Significant updates are planned to restore Galerija Centrs to its former prominence as a beloved destination.
